This machine is specifically designed for declumping rope cultured or pole cultured mussels and applied where knife or brush-declumpers will foul up because of the plastic nets used. Internal and external attached mussels are gently rubbed from the socks supplied to the machine. During short machine stops, the virtually empty socks can be removed. The system consists of a fixed cone (stator) which is internally lined with a brushing mat, which in turn is fixed with removable cones. The central drive cone (rotor) is height adjustable and also equipped with cleats. The robust hydraulic rotor drive is well protected under the central rotor.
