Manager purchasing & Logistics

Your job

You are responsible for optimal production planning in which the available capacity and customer demand are aligned. You achieve this by optimizing the logistics processes with your team (planning/stock management, warehouse and work preparation).

What parts does your job consist of?

• Strategic Sourcing: In this position you will be responsible for closely managing value for money and cultivating sustainable supplier relationships.
• Operational Purchasing and Administration: You take the lead in the seamless handling of quotations, procurement processes and interactions with suppliers.
• Stock management: You play a crucial role in minimizing obsolete stock and ensuring timely availability of essential parts.
• Logistics: You manage the entire logistics process and guarantee punctual and efficient deliveries.
• Material planning: You develop thorough short- and long-term plans to effectively streamline material management.
• Other tasks: You provide valuable support to after sales, initiate improvements to business processes and participate in the selection of personnel.

Within this role you provide guidance to the Supply Chain department, forging a streamlined operation and making an essential contribution to our success.

Your leadership qualities ensure a good and inspiring working atmosphere in which continuous improvement and customer satisfaction are central. You can rely on your knowledge of information systems and experience in managing goods flows.

 

About you 

Given the technical environment at VAM Watertech BV, affinity with technology is very important.

In addition, you are able to communicate clearly and you know how to create clarity. You have a proactive attitude, both towards your colleagues and towards our customers. You work accurately and intervene when a process does not go according to plan. Then you know how to switch quickly between departments, in short you monitor the process through a helicopter view without losing sight of the details.

• Minimum HBO Commercial Economics or Logistics and Purchasing
• NEVI ½ training is a pre;
• Your Dutch, German and English language (spoken and written) are excellent, if you master an additional language, this is an advantage.
• You can prioritize and plan well.
• You are in possession of a valid driving license B.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge and experience working with ERP is an advantage.
• You can work project-based, are accurate and take initiative.
• You show leadership and are assertive
